FOTC Fan Gear : Conchords Episode Commentary

Flight of the Conchords Season 1 Finale: FOTC finale elicited among my friends and family, there were mixed reviews for the Season 1 finale of FOTC. Bret's dance alone, borrowing some moves from Flashdance and Rocky, was off the HOOK! Hilarious! He is just the cutest thing ever dancing. I just couldn't love Bret any more than I do. He steals my heart every time. The bongo drum guy was completely annoying. Jemaine's subtle and skillful minimalist acting was awesome. Bret was super amazingly adorable trying to make himself useful - holding that amp two times bigger than he was, just to be included (like a kid on a playground trying to make friends). It just killed me how sweet and innocent his character is at times. The cheer up Bret - Jemaine talking oven routine. There's just something so sweet about Bret and Jemaine - the range from innocent and kid-like to sexy hot boom kings with something for all the ladies to more poignant (yet clever and funny) and more serious numbers. I feel like their acting has improved has improved throughout the series and all the subtleties are just so , so - I don't know, I just lover these guys and this show! I feel like the end set the stage for some new twists for next season. Murray's total transformation was abrupt and extremely out of character - maybe he's decied or they decided to not include him in season 2. If so, I will miss our Murray.
